Introduction

The Popup Promotions feature allows you to create and manage promotional popups displayed on selected pages of your website. This section provides an interface to set up promo details, page selection, layout & animation, and call-to-action (CTA) settings to enhance user engagement and marketing efforts.

Accessing Popup Promotions​

  1. In the sidebar menu, click Popup.
  2. The Popup page will open, displaying a list of previously added promotions (if any).popup-page

Troubleshooting Popup Access Issues​

If you encounter issues while accessing the Popup page, try the following troubleshooting steps:

The "Popup" menu is missing from the sidebar

  • Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache.
  • Ensure you are logged into your account correctly.
  • If the issue persists, log out and log back in.

The Popup page does not load or displays an error

  • Refresh the page and try again.
  • Log out and log back in before navigating to the Popup menu.
  • Check your internet connection and try using a different browser.
  • Clear your browser cache and reload the page.

The promotions list is empty

  • Ensure that at least one promotion has been added. Click Add Promotion to create a new one.
  • Refresh the page or clear your browser cache.
  • Log out and log back in to see if the promotions appear.

Creating a New Popup Promotion​

To create a new popup promotion, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Add Promotion button.add-promotion
  2. Configure the Main Settings
    • Enable Promo
      • The Status toggle switch is at the top of the section.
      • If enabled (green toggle), the popup promotion will be displayed on the website.
      • If disabled (gray toggle), the popup promotion will remain hidden.enable-promo
    • Promo Name
      • Enter a descriptive name for the promotion to easily identify it. promo-name
    • Promo Start From
      • Select the start date for the promotion. promo-start-date
    • Promo Ends
      • Select the end date for the promotion. promo-end-date
    • Promo Text
      • Enter the promotion content in the text editor.
      • Use the available formatting options to customize the text as needed. promo-text
  3. Page Selection
    • The Page Selection section allows you to choose where the popup should appear.
    • Each category (e.g., Rooms, Special Offers, Facilities) can be expanded or collapsed.
    • To enable the popup for a specific page within a category, ensure the main category toggle is ON.
    • If the main category (e.g., Rooms) is disabled, you won’t be able to enable the popup for any individual pages within that category.page-selection
  4. Customize Layout and Animation This section allows you to personalize the appearance and positioning of your popup. 1. Popup Shape and Animation
    • Shape: Select the popup shape (Square, Rectangle, Circle). popup-shape
    • Size: Choose the popup size (Small, Medium, Big, Extra Big). popup-size
    • Animation: Define how the popup appears (Fade In, Zoom In, Slide Up, Slide Down). popup-animation
    • Backdrop: Enable or disable the background overlay (Active, Inactive). popup-backdrop 2. Popup Position
    • Vertical Position: Set the popup’s vertical placement (Top, Center, Bottom). popup-vertical-position
    • Horizontal Position: Choose where the popup appears horizontally (Left, Center, Right). popup-horizontal-position
    • Background Color: Click the color picker to choose a background color or enable transparency. popup-background-color
    • Background Image: Click Change to upload or replace the background image. popup-background-image 3. Text Position
    • Vertical Position: Set the text alignment within the popup (Top, Center, Bottom). popup-text-position
    • Horizontal Position: Choose the horizontal text placement (Left, Center, Right). popup-horizontal-position

    • Button Color: Click the color picker to select a button color. popup-button-color
    • Vertical Position: Define where the button appears (Top, Center, Bottom). popup-vertical-position
    • Horizontal Position: Choose the horizontal placement (Left, Center, Right). popup-horizontal-position
    • URL: Enter the destination URL where users will be directed when they click the button. popup-url

  5. Save Your Changes After completing all configurations, click Save Configuration to apply your changes and create the new promotion. save-changes

Troubleshooting Popup Promotion Issues​

If you encounter any issues while creating a new popup promotion, try the following troubleshooting steps:

Unable to add a new promotion?

  • Ensure you have clicked the Add Promotion button.
  • Refresh the page and try again.
  • Log out and log back in to see if the issue persists.

The "Enable Promo" toggle is not working

  • Check your internet connection and try again.
  • Refresh the page and toggle the switch again.
  • If the issue persists, try using a different browser.

Promo Name is not saving

  • Ensure that you have entered a valid name.
  • Click the Save Configuration button after making changes.
  • Refresh the page and check if the name was saved.

The promotion is not appearing on the selected pages

  • Verify that the Page Selection options are correctly set.
  • Ensure that the main category toggle is enabled if selecting subpages.
  • Clear your browser cache and try again.

Popup is not showing even though it's active

  • Ensure that the Promo Status toggle is enabled (green).
  • Check if the Page Selection settings include the intended pages.
  • Clear the browser cache and try again.
  • Disable any ad-blockers that might be preventing the popup from loading.

Background image is not displaying correctly

  • Ensure the image has been uploaded correctly in the Background Image section.
  • Try using a different image format (e.g., PNG or JPG).
  • Check the image URL to ensure it is accessible.
  • Refresh the page or try opening it in a different browser.

Popup animation or position settings are not applying

  • Ensure that you have clicked Save Configuration after making changes.
  • Refresh the page and check if the settings were applied.
  • Try adjusting the settings again and re-saving.

Call to Action (CTA) button is not working

  • Double-check that the URL field contains a valid link.
  • Ensure there are no typos or extra spaces in the URL.
  • If linking to an external site, verify that the destination URL is accessible.

Changes are not saving

  • Click Save Configuration to apply all updates.
  • Check your internet connection and try again.
  • Log out and log back in, then attempt to save the changes again.
  • If the issue persists, clear your browser cache and retry.

Editing a Popup Promotion​

  1. Locate the promotion you want to edit in the Popup list.
  2. Click Edit next to the corresponding promotion entry.edit-popup
  3. You will be directed to the Update Promo page.
  4. On the Update Promo page, you can make the following changes:
    • Main Configuration: Update the promo name, validity period, text, and toggle the promo on/off.
    • Page Selection: Choose or update the pages where the popup will appear (e.g., Home, Rooms, Special Offers, Facilities, Contact Us).
    • Layout and Animation: Adjust how the popup appears on the selected pages, including display style and animation effects.
    • Call to Action Button (CTA): Change the button text, link, or styling to match the new promotion.
  5. Once the changes are complete, click Save Configuration to apply the updates.detail-update-popup

Troubleshooting Editing a Popup Promotion Issues​

If you encounter any issues while editing a popup promotion, try the following troubleshooting steps:

Unable to find the promotion in the list?

  • Ensure that the promotion has been created and is not deleted.
  • Refresh the page to reload the list.

The "Edit" button is not responding

  • Check your internet connection and try again.
  • Refresh the page and click the Edit button again.
  • Try using a different browser or device.

Changes made on the "Update Promo" page are not saving

  • Click Save Configuration to apply the updates.
  • Refresh the page and check if the changes were applied.
  • Clear your browser cache and retry.

The promotion is not appearing on newly selected pages

  • Verify that the Page Selection settings have been updated correctly.
  • Ensure that the main category toggle is enabled for subpages.
  • Clear your browser cache and check again.

Updated layout or animation settings are not applied

  • Ensure that you clicked Save Configuration after making changes.
  • Refresh the page and check if the settings were applied.
  • Try adjusting the settings again and re-saving.

Call to Action (CTA) button changes are not reflected

  • Verify that the URL field contains the correct link.
  • Ensure the button text has been updated and saved.
  • Refresh the page and check the button settings again.

The popup promotion is not updating after editing

  • Log out and log back in to see if the changes are applied.
  • Try re-editing the promotion and saving again.
  • If the issue persists, clear your browser cache and retry.

Deleting a Popup Promotion​

  1. Locate the popup promotion you want to delete in the Popup Promotions list.
  2. Click the Delete button next to the corresponding popup.delete-popup
  3. A confirmation pop-up will appear with two options:
    • No, cancel – Click this if you want to cancel the deletion.
    • Yes, I'm sure – Click this to confirm and permanently delete the popup promotion.
  4. Once confirmed, the popup promotion will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.confirm-remove

Troubleshooting Deleting a Popup Promotion Issues​

Unable to Find the Promotion in the List?

  • Ensure that the promotion exists and has not already been deleted.
  • Refresh the page to reload the latest list of popup promotions.
  • Manually scroll through the list to locate the desired promotion.

The Delete Button is Not Visible

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to delete promotions.
  • Refresh the page to check if the button appears.
  • Try logging out and logging back in to see if the issue persists.

Deletion Confirmation Pop-up Does Not Appear

  • Check if any browser extensions or pop-up blockers are preventing the confirmation window from displaying.
  • Try using a different browser or device to see if the issue is specific to your current setup.
  • Refresh the page and attempt to delete the promotion again.

Popup Promotion is Not Deleted After Confirmation

  • Ensure you clicked Yes, I'm sure to confirm the deletion.
  • Refresh the page and check if the promotion is still listed.
  • Try deleting the promotion again after a few moments.
  • If the issue persists, contact support for further assistance.
