Hot Deals
The Hot Deals feature allows you to create and manage promotional discounts and packages on your selected rate plans in the Booking Engine. This section guides you through configuring percent discount deals, setting date and booking restrictions, managing deposit and cancellation policies, and handling deal activation, editing, and search functions.
How to Use Hot Deals (Percent Discount)
- Please go to Booking Engine menu and click Hot Deals.
- Click Add a new Hot Deal.
- On What Type of Special please choose Percent Discount
- You can tick the rate package that you want to applied of discount.
- Please fill the Short Description, usually short description are for tittle of the discount, such as Last minute discount, Early bird discount, etc.
- Please fill the Long Description, usually long description are for description of your discount.
- You can choose of Cancellation policy on your Hot deal.
- if you choose Hotel General Cancellation policy, the policy will refer to rateplan policy from Setting -> Room -> Rateplan
- if you choose Non Refundable, the policy will be written down as Non refundable on Booking Engine page
- if you choose Custom policy, you will be able to create a new policy special only for your hot deal. Notes : The cancellation policy will be shown on Booking Engine page by clicking information icon, please see picture above for your reference.
- On This Special can only be 'unlocked' by a Promotion Code you can tick this feature if you want your hot deal only active using a promo code. Let it be empty if you want your hot deal default active without promo code.
Tips : Usually this feature is used when the promo code you create wants to have a period.
- On Date Option, choose the parameter when the hot deal will be applied:
- Valid Date:
- A dropdown Valid for will appear with two options:
- All Dates: No additional input needed.
- Specific Dates: Allows you to set a Start Date and To Date for when the deal is active.
- All Dates: No additional input needed.
- A dropdown Valid for will appear with two options:
- Exclude Date:
- A section titled Excluding These Dates will appear.
- Click Add a Date Range to input the range using Start Date and To Date.
- Valid Date:
- On Days of Week Available For you can choose the day that hot deal will be implemented
- On Any Last Minute or Advanced Purchase Restrictions, you can set a restriction for your hot deals. When you select Yes, an additional section will appear:
- A dropdown for At least or Within
- A numeric input field for entering number of days
- At least: Usually used for Early Bird promotion, active if check-in is at least X days away
- Within: Usually used for Last Minute promotion, active if check-in is within X days (e.g., today/tomorrow).
Notes: Within restriction only active if you use a valid date and the hot deal is valid for all dates.
- On Sale Date, choose the booking period where hot deals can be active:
- If All Dates is selected, no additional input appears.
- If Specific Dates is selected, date pickers for Start Date and To Date will be shown.
- If All Dates is selected, no additional input appears.
- On Deposit Amount, you set the deposit for your hot deals:
- Hotel General Deposit: Refers to setup from Settings > Booking Policy.
- Custom Deposit: You can define a separate deposit amount for this deal.
- Click Save Change to save the Hot Deal.

Troubleshooting Hot Deals (Percent Discount)
Hot Deal not showing on Booking Engine after saving
- Ensure the Valid Date and Sale Date periods include today’s date.
- Make sure the quota is not already fulfilled or the deal has not expired.
- If Promo Code is enabled, verify the code is entered correctly during booking.
Cannot select rate packages for discount
- Confirm that rate packages are already created and active in the system.
- Refresh the page or try a different browser if tick boxes are not responsive.
Cancellation policy not displayed correctly
- Double-check if Custom Policy content is filled when selected.
- If using Hotel General Cancellation Policy, ensure the related rateplan has a defined policy in Settings > Room > Rateplan.
“Within” restriction not working as expected
- Ensure that Valid Date is set to All Dates as this is required for the “Within” condition to activate.
- Check that the numeric day value is filled and not zero.
Deposit setting not applied
- When using Custom Deposit, confirm that the deposit amount is entered.
- If using Hotel General Deposit, make sure the deposit rule is defined in Settings > Booking Policy.
Date pickers or checkboxes not responding
- Clear browser cache or switch to another browser.
- Disable browser extensions that might block scripts or UI elements.
How to Enable or Disable Hot Deals
- On the Hot Deals List page, select one or more Hot Deals by ticking the checkboxes on the left side of each deal.
- Click the With Selected dropdown menu above the list.
- Choose Enable to activate the selected Hot Deal(s) or Disable to deactivate them.
- After selecting Enable or Disable, click Update to apply the Enable or Disable status to the selected Hot Deal(s). If no checkbox is selected, a confirmation dropdown will appear asking you to select one specific Hot Deal from the list.
- Once applied, the status of the enabled Hot Deal(s) will show as Enabled with a green label, while disabled Hot Deal(s) will display as Disabled with a red label.

Troubleshooting Enable or Disable Hot Deals
Update button is unresponsive after selecting Enable or Disable
- Ensure at least one checkbox is ticked before clicking Update.
- If no checkbox is selected, use the confirmation dropdown to manually pick a Hot Deal.
Status does not update after clicking Update
- Wait a few seconds and refresh the page to see if the status has changed.
- Check your internet connection and retry the action.
Selected Hot Deal shows incorrect status (e.g., still shows as Disabled after enabling)
- Refresh the page to validate the latest status.
- Repeat the enable/disable action and confirm if the status label updates accordingly.
Can’t select multiple Hot Deals
- Ensure that checkboxes on the left of each Hot Deal are visible and clickable.
- If using a mobile device, try switching to desktop view for better control selection.
How to Search Hot Deals
- On the Hot Deals List page, locate the Search box at the top-right corner.
- Enter relevant keywords such as the Hot Deal’s title or description.
- The list will dynamically filter to display Hot Deals matching the search terms.

Troubleshooting Search Hot Deals
Search results not showing expected Hot Deals
- Ensure the keyword is spelled correctly and matches part of the title or description.
- Try using more general or partial keywords instead of full phrases.
- Check if any other filters (such as property or date) are active and narrowing the results.
Search box not responding when typing
- Reload the page to reset the search component.
- Make sure your internet connection is stable.
- Check for any browser extension that might interfere with dynamic search functions.
No results found despite existing data
- Verify if the Hot Deal you're searching for is currently active and not expired.
- Clear any browser cache and try again, especially if the Hot Deal was recently added.
How to Edit Hot Deals
- On the Hot Deals List page, find the Hot Deal you wish to edit.
- In the Action column of the corresponding row, click the Edit.
- The Hot Deal form will open, pre-filled with the existing deal information.
- Make the necessary changes, such as modifying discount values, dates, or quotas.
- (Optional) You can use the following actions at the bottom of the edit form:
- Copy this special to duplicate the current Hot Deal.
- Delete this special to remove it permanently from the list.
- (Optional) Tick the checkbox Add on Google if you want the deal to appear on Google listings.
- Click Save Change to update and save the Hot Deal.

Troubleshooting Edit Hot Deals
Edit button does not respond
- Refresh the page and try clicking the Edit button again.
- Make sure you have the necessary permissions to edit Hot Deals.
- Check if the Hot Deal you're trying to edit is still active and not already deleted.
Changes are not saved after clicking Save Change
- Ensure all required fields (e.g., discount, date range) are filled correctly.
- Check for any validation error messages at the top or bottom of the form.
- Try reloading the form and re-entering your changes before saving again.
Copy this special or Delete this special does not work
- Confirm any browser confirmation pop-ups when clicking these options.
- Make sure your browser does not block scripts or has extensions interfering with button actions.
- If deleting, ensure the deal is not currently in use by an ongoing promotion or campaign.
Add on Google checkbox has no effect
- This feature may require proper integration with Google services—verify your Google connection is active.
- It may take time for changes to reflect on Google, especially if caching or indexing delays occur.
Form opens with missing or incorrect data
- Try closing and reopening the form to refresh the loaded data.
- If the issue persists, the data might be outdated or corrupted—contact support for assistance.
